The Shirts Drying

The fundraiser was a success! We are well on our way to raising enough money to purchase film making equipment. It was a warm sunny day and an excellent community of people came out to support. Karolo from International Rivers set up a table full of informational material showcasing all the good work they do. DJ Delgado of Aztlan Roots provided amazing music and set the tone for a great day. Pictures soon to follow! Thank you all for all your donations and support – this is what the grassroots is all about.

Fiscally Sponsored!

I am very happy to announce that Media Alliance, “a leader in building coalitions for press freedom and media access, accountability and alternatives,” offered to be the fiscal sponsor for the Adapting to Scarcity project.  This is very exciting because it opens many doors for grant writing, and donations can now be tax deductible.  Fiscal sponsorship in this case means Media Alliance harbors my project under their 501 c3 umbrella, and provides some support and guidance.  I’m honored to have the support of this amazing media resource and advocacy center that has actively supported media workers, non-profit organizations, and social justice activists for 32 years.
