Steve Meets IMDEC

In the spirit of community and communication, we made an introduction video for Steve to meet IMDEC.  Let me just say, we had a lot of fun with it.  We have been playing around with our Flip Cameras and iMovie to prepare for our workshops in Juanacátlan, so we made the video with those tools.  Tomorrow we have our second video workshop with a group of high schoolers and we look forward to seeing the footage they have taken and introducing storytelling and editing techniques.  We are designing the workshop to be popular education based, and look forward to its co-evolution with the participation of our students.

Gearing Up

As we count down the hours to our departure, we paused today to inventory our documentary equipment. It’s been arriving piece by piece over the last few weeks, making it feel a bit like Christmas around here. Now that nearly all of it has arrived, we thought we’d tell you a little bit about it.

Packing Up

We’re in out last two weeks in the Bay Area. Wow. The trip to Mexico is getting much closer (late September), and there are still many loose ends to wrap up.  This Thursday we’re hosting our last fundraiser in the Bay Area.  We’ll be bartending at Tonic Bar in San Francisco from 6-9pm this Thursday, August, 6th.  All tips will go to our project.  Please come out, and bring your friends!
