Who We Are and What We’re Up To (and… less than two weeks left to make a 2009 tax-deductible donation!)
At this very moment, we’re watching Steven Fisher’s Adapting to Scarcity fundraiser in Bend, Oregon from afar (thanks technology!). It looks and sounds like a fabulous event – wonderful performers, wonderful costumes and clearly, wonderful people. To help convey what Adapting to Scarcity is about for his fundraiser, we put together a ~5 minute video entitled “Adapting to Scarcity: Who We Are and What We’re Up To”:
Also, our close friend Jess just arrived for three weeks to visit and help out with the project. She played an integral role in putting the video together and in the midst of all the end-of-year-stress, she’s been helping us keep it all together! Jess promised to write us a blog post, so keep an eye out for it.
This sudden surge of support from our loved ones reminds me that ‘who we are’ is not limited to Sarah and myself. Ultimately, we’re really powered (personally and as an organization) from every iota of support we receive from our communities and networks. Which also reminds me of what John Lennon tells us:
I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.
But really, we could never do what we’re doing with out Steve, Jess, or all of you. So infinite thanks and much love to all of you.
And don’t forget, there are only a few days left to make a tax-deductible (for the 2009 year, at least) donation to Adapting to Scarcity! So go ahead and click the ‘Donate‘ button or make out a check to ‘Media Alliance’, write ‘for Adapting to Scarcity in the memo field’, and mail it to:
