Wish and needs list

Our current list of needs include:

Hard Drives

We need high speed, high quality storage space to handle the massive amounts of data for producing our documentary. The hard drives will be used both in the production process as well as for making backup copies of our data. In particular, we are looking for:

• (1) 6TB Mercury Elite-AL Pro Qx2 (http://bit.ly/6KMn6u): for data backup/storage [$900]
• (2) 2TB OWC Mercury Elite-AL Pro RAID (http://bit.ly/6nMbnv): scratch disks for video editing [$275 each]
• (1) 2TB OWC Mercury Elite-AL Pro (http://bit.ly/6FYi9K): Portable storage for field work, particularly for video workshops in the communities [$288]

FlipVideo cameras

With our non-profit partnership with FlipVideo, we get 2 FlipVideo Ultra cameras for the price of one. We are using the cameras in our community video workshops and can always use more. We are hoping to purchase 10 more. (http://bit.ly/5oZ0II) [$150 for 2]

Tripod bag

To protect our tripod and make it easier to travel with. (http://bit.ly/6ncgWy) [$42]

Camera accessories

There are some replacement and new accessories we need for our various cameras – like UV lens filters and lens caps. Most are in the < $10 range so I figured it would be tidiest to lump them all together. [$50]

Hosting costs

We need to cover our projected hosting costs for 2010 as well as recoup our hosting costs (paid out of our own pockets) for 2009.

• Tickets to San Francisco for photo and video clip exposition from kids in La Huizachera and Mexican visa renewal (2) [$500 each]
